ASIAN Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) organized their annual Tourism Summit themed “ Towards Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in the Digital Era” on the 10th of August 2017 at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa. The key issues highlighted during the summit included topics on future of tourism in Malaysia and ASEAN, promoting sustainable tourism and capitalizing on technological innovation in tourism.
Moderators and speakers of summit consist of academicians, diplomats from ASEAN countries, heads of associations in the field of tourism, and hospitality leader who engaged in structured dialogues to understand the role and relations amongst Government, Business and Civil Society in ASEAN.
Dr. Neethiahnanthan, President of ATRA was invited to be the moderator for the second panel discussion session on “Visit ASEAN@50: The Opportunities and Challenges in Coming Together as One”. Prof. Datuk Seri Victor Wee, Secretary General of ATRA was also invited to be one of the speaker in this session.
