The CRiT PhD Summer School on Tourism & SDGs was organized by the Centre for Research and Innovation in Tourism (CRiT), in collaboration with School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Events, and ASEAN Tourism Research Association (ATRA) from 26th - 30th July 2021. The aim of this event was to promote CRiT as a center for “Tourism & SDGs” which creates opportunities for researches to collaborate with national and international organizations, networking with top scholars in the area of Tourism and SDGs.
The opening message was delivered by Dr. Dirk Glaesser, Director of the Sustainable Development of Tourism, UNWTO and Prof. Dr. Neethiahnanthan Ari Ragavan, President of ASEAN Tourism Research Association (ATRA) and Executive Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management, Taylor's University. During the five days of the event, various topics related to Tourism and SDGs were discussed between the participants by sharing their ideas and knowledge from different countries perspective. Each session was moderated by two academic staffs from School of Hospitality, Tourism & Events, School of Media and Communication, and School of Food Studies & Gastronomy based on their expertise.
The speakers were highly involved with the Summer School event before, during and after the event for future collaborations. There were around 1500+ registration from more than 85 countries. In each session, we had consistently:

500+ reached to each session from FACEBOOK and
100 – 300 views via CRiT YouTube Channel
All sessions were recorded and available in the CRiT YouTube Channel (YouTube)
